Sculpture being primed at the workshop

On Saturday 16 February 2013 artist Neil with his wonderful assistant Olivia were continuing to prime the sculpture. Neil has to get priming finished before he can concentrate on his two imminent exhibitions (the first at Olympia, 1st to 3rd March). In this film we walk around the sculpture to try and give an idea of scale – although it always looks so much bigger in real life! You can clearly see  five bolt holes on each ‘foot’ on the sculpture. These fit the five bolts sticking out of the concrete ground beam on the site at Wharfdale Road. A portion of the feet of the sculpture will be set in a second layer of concrete once it is installed.

We hope to install the sculpture during the next fortnight. We’ll post up the date as soon as we have it!
