Yesterday the brilliant guys from Reddington’s were hard at work preparing our hole in the ground to be filled with concrete. Reddington’s is doing this work for us for free as a donation to the project.
This concrete ‘ground beam’ will provide a hefty weight. On top of this a steel template will be fitted, the sculpture will sit on top of that and be bolted through the holes on the template to the ground beam. The 10m high sculpture will be free standing, so the ground beam will fix it firmly in position.
